Privacy Policy
BubbleSpeak Comics is designed to read user-provided comics aloud without collecting personal data from the app. The current app does not include accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, cloud OCR, or cloud translation.
Comic files and page content
Comic archives, page images, extracted OCR text, reading progress, and local cache metadata stay on your device. BubbleSpeak Comics does not upload comic pages or recognized text to BubbleSpeak servers.
Data stored on your device
The app may store local data needed for normal reader behavior, including recently opened comic metadata, last-read page, reading settings, speech settings, OCR text blocks, bounding boxes, and cache version information. This data is used only to make the app faster and to restore your reading position.
Apple services
The app uses Apple platform features such as document import, on-device text recognition, system speech, StoreKit subscriptions, and App Store purchase restoration. Apple may process subscription transactions, crash reports, TestFlight feedback, or App Store diagnostics according to your Apple settings and Apple's privacy policies.
Subscriptions
Subscription purchase and billing are handled by Apple through In-App Purchase. BubbleSpeak Comics checks subscription entitlement status on device so it can unlock personal comic import access, but it does not receive or store your payment card details.
Support email
If you contact support, you choose what information to send. Your email address, message, and any attachments are used only to respond to your request. Do not send copyrighted comic pages unless you have the right to share them for troubleshooting.
Website logs
The public website at bubblespeakcomics.app may be hosted by a third-party hosting provider. That provider may process standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and request time, for security and reliability.
Children's privacy
BubbleSpeak Comics does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Future features
If a future version adds optional network translation, analytics, accounts, or other data collection, this policy and the App Store privacy details will be updated before those features are released.
